What does iOS 7 on the iPad ?
We have fished out eight functions , which offers the new operating system on the tablet - but not in this way on the iPhone .
iOS 7 we have discussed in detail , see for example
- The most interesting innovations ,
- The 10 most important settings in iOS 7, we should conduct
an overview of how we view the new features in iOS 7th
On the iPad much equivalent to the iPhone version . There are a few things on the tablet not , such as the Weather app , voice notes, or the camera's panorama mode .A few other features , however , Apple has specially adapted for the iPad :
1 Multitasking and search in landscape mode
New: You call the search box on a wipe down on the home screen .
2 the Control
In the control center on the iPad you can find possibly a symbol that you have not yet seen on the iPhone : Sound off . This field is visible when you switch the side of the iPad for the orientation lock (and not just sound off) have occupied . This is selectable in the settings under General - > Page switch .
The multitasking view works on the iPad in portrait and landscape mode. A matter of course , one would agree . But no, the iPhone does not use the new view in landscape mode. We know from the old multitasking bar ...
Even for the search function a landscape support on the smartphone would be desirable , as in the iPad:
3 Photo Booth : images for nonsense 's Tablet
Photo Booth is a camera app that 's only on the iPad (except for the Mac version ) . Who wants to shoot strangely distorted portrait photos, right here.
The design is similar to the iOS Photo App of 7, but the effects are still the same as in iOS 6
4 Split keyboard with new design
Similarly, the split and sliding keyboard : Even as it is currently only available on the iPad. Nevertheless, it naturally presents itself as the iPhone keyboard in iOS 7 with a new design , and depending on dark background (top) or light (in this case , shared and moved in the note app) :
The new design is also true for many other parts of the system .
5 Safari Tabs without Cover Flow
On the iPhone, Apple has integrated a kind of vertical cover flow for the tabs. The tablet shows , however , as usual, from desktop browsers , horsemen .
With many windows open three points are displayed behind which hides a list of the other tabs.
6 Bulging dock bar
The dock bar - and the longer we already know - takes into iOS on the iPad to up to six apps.
Holding an icon on the Home screen until it jiggles , then drag it into the dock bar . Complete the process with the home button .
7 World Clock with Weather
The World Clock shows exclusively on the iPad a map , the weather , temperature, and of course, the time display using the new symbols.
A tip for clock - app: a timer or alarm clock you switch the fastest with the language assistant Siri ( see also: 82 Commands for Siri )
8 Multitasking operating
The multitasking operation allows the iPad to run with four or five fingers on the screen following commands:
- Spread fingers pull together : go to the Home screen .
- Swipe up : Open multitasking view.
- Go to the next open app: in one app emphasize horizontal.
This requires multi-tasking operations to be in the settings under General Inge Turns .
Conclusion 7 to iOS on the iPad : The iOS 7 version for iPad is nothing earth shattering in principle. Much we know from the iPhone or from earlier iOS versions - just in a different style. A few differences , however, are still worth knowing.
